What I Learned This Week #2

bunnyrito | pale yellow What I Learned This Week:

  • Fri. 10/11 – Tenth graders can’t walk very far.  It’s important to keeping making new friends because you never know how much you need them until they are there.
  • Sat. 10/12 - Downtown Abbey is getting a little violent and Edith shouldn’t be around men.  Really Edith?  Bunnies do NOT like being made into bunniritos {a bunny wrapped burrito style in a towel = bunnirito}.
  • Sun. 10/13 – When you’re stressed and overwhelmed you shouldn’t blow off your friends because they are the ones that make you feel less stressed and less overwhelmed.
  • Mon. 10/14 – Christopher Columbus may not be all that great historically speaking, but God bless him and the day off the NYCDOE gives us!  Also, homemade caramel corn is fantastic!  Recipe soon.
  • Tues. 10/15 – Church lady cookbooks from the Midwest ARE. THE. BEST!  Salads totally equal marshmallows, crushed pineapple, & cool whip.
  • Wed. 10/16 – There is always more work than hours in the day.  It will never get done.
  • Thurs. 10/17 – Just grin and bear it, grin and bear it.  Watching a child learn to read is magical, I wish I could learn to read again!

Fancy Recipes I Want to Try:

  •  bourbon, cider, apples: oh my!  I want some of this pie ASAP
  • pumpkin, salted caramel, cinnamon: my other favorite fall ingredients!  I need to bake these bars soon
  • the roommates and I were talking about Midwest food favs Tuesday and these appeared in my feedly Wednesday, perfect!
  • these cookies are perfect and I just want to wreck them with crap on top
